In 2015, they bought this dream location, naming it Cascada Encantada to honour its breathtaking scenery. The farm’s high-altitude location (1,800–1,995 meters) provides the perfect climate for sweet, dense coffee cherries. Beyond production, Fredy fosters community well-being, particularly with the establishment of Coffee Kinder in 2022. This on-farm childcare centre provides a safe, educational space for workers’ children during harvest season, reducing child labor and enabling both parents to work. This initiative boosts family incomes and strengthens the labor force, with sales in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa funding the program.
