We purchased our first coffees from Sey last year and, once we'd tasted them, knew that we'd be doing the same this year. Sey Coffee are known for their incredible green buying and they haven't let their reputation down at all.

We opted to purchase this lot, produced by the legendary Tamiru Tadesse Tesema at Alo Coffee. Tamiru is a previous winner of Ethiopian Cup of Excellence, his coffees are complex and acidic, they're everything that we enjoy. This lot is 100% JARC Varietal 74158, which gives us the rare chance to taste a single varietal Ethiopian coffee.

This coffee has a high acidity that leapt out on our cupping table, instantly recognisable for it's vibrant fruitiness. As the cup cooled we enjoyed the complexity of the structure no doubt a result of the fruit and fermentation quality.
