Even with all of us having a smartphone, we still can't get a straight answer. Big space is as split on this as society is on whether tomato sauce should be in the fridge or the pantry. Pluto is not a Planet is made up from cherries collected from all over Mt Elgon and uses anaerobic fermentation to take these incredible coffees, supercharge them, and launch them out of the stratosphere and into the stars! Anaerobic fermentation allows the cherries to begin the fermentation process in the absence of oxygen. This promotes yeasts and bacterias that thrive in an oxygen deprived environment, to dominate the fermentation process, and leads to characteristics that are totally unfamiliar with more traditional processing methods. Look out for a flavour bomb of blueberry and lime with the aroma of fresh hops. Some say Pluto is and always was a planet, some claim it is too small and is the equivalent of Canberra or the Northern Territory, it is like a state, but not quite, so let's call it a territory instead. Regardless of your stance, we can all agree Pluto is actually a dog and that should be the end of it. We’ve sourced this coffee directly from our partners at Zukuka Bora, and handled the import ourselves. Drink up before it's all Mt El-gone.

DEEP DIVE +

PRODUCER : Zukuka Bora

CROP YEAR : 2021

COUNTRY : UGANDA

REGION : Mt Elgon

ELEVATION : 1850 MASL

VARIETAL : SL14 & SL28

PROCESSING : ANAEROBIC NATURAL

IMPORTER/PARTNER : Commonfolk

GEO TAG DOWNLOAD PDF

ESPRESSO RECIPE +

ESPRESSO MACHINE
This is just a starting place.
